In our last moments together, I whispered to my dying partner of over 20 years, "Love never dies ... love never dies ... love never dies."
The memory of these final words guided me over the last few days as I opened my heart for guidance to be healed from the hurt and pain I had been feeling over the past few days. I had been feeling so very sorry for myself. My step daughter was to be wed, and I was unable to be there to share in the celebration. And, oh my friends, what a pity party I had for myself! I felt all range of emotions ... anger, sadness, grief ... you name it I was dancing with it! These emotions took over my life experience. And as I experienced this emotional graveyard, the vibration of these powerful words of wisdom were gently whispered to me: "Love never dies ... love never dies ... love never dies."
Determined NOT to allow my pity party to take control over my life, I choose instead to shift my thinking from the story I was telling myself about the reality I was experiencing to instead identify what exactly was within my sphere of influence. This is when the whispers of these words of wisdom floated back to my consciousness: "Love never dies ... love never dies.
With these words I was able to reflect upon all the amazing ways I have experienced love in my life. And as these memories came to me, my heart filled once again with light and happiness. Filled with this beautiful radiant light of love I was able to then shift my attention to my step-daughter. I held the vision of all the wonderful opportunities that she and her amazing partner will experience together. My heart continued to fill with excitement and anticipation of her evolution as a woman ... as the magnificent human being she is.
And now, dear friends, please join me on this day of celebration to embrace love in your life. Focus your mind's eye on whatever you imagine love is between two people on the day of their marriage and bless them on their journey. Bless yourself on your life journey. Together let us remember, "Love never dies ... love never dies ... love never dies."
